Where: The Hearth. 2nd Floor, Lawrence Hall.

When: October 17th, 6:00PM to 7:30PM.

Why: We want the University of Oregon’s student body to unify and own sustainability, so we need your invaluable input! We’ll provide the pizza.

On OCTOBER 17TH, we would like to invite you to our initial design charrette and brainstorm. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Ecological Design Center’s annual HOPES (Holistic Options for Planet Earth Sustainability) Conference. Held in Lawrence Hall, HOPES brings together professionals, researchers, professors, and students to develop a broader understanding of sustainable design principles. In April 2014, HOPES will hold lectures, panel discussions, design charrettes, and workshops focused on our theme, Inevitability and how to design for inevitable yet unpredictable change.

To gain insight on how students from various fields of study view the idea of inevitability, we call on participation from all students at the university. We will be providing pizza and drinks. This will be held in the WILCOX HEARTH on the second floor of LAWRENCE HALL (LA 266) . The event begins at 6:00, and the brain storming kicks off at 6:30
